Castaway just got word of two dogs that are located in a high kill shelter. The shelter desperately wants to save them but only has so much room. So unless a rescue steps up these two little cuties will be euthanized! We have two foster families who are willing to take the dogs in but we need help with the medical bills that will most surely come with them. Can you help us save them?
Cole is a 2 year old, 175lb Mastiff with a baseball size growth on the side of his torso. He was surrendered to the shelter since they could not afford to take him to the vet to get the growth checked out. He is a young boy so we are hopeful the growth is benign.
Tessa is a 1-2 year old spaniel mix (?). She looks like a true American mixed breed. This poor girl finds herself at the shelter and pregnant. Her sister Tillie is also at the shelter and pregnant and Castaway will be bringing her into our care. We would like to bring Tessa along as well! Tessa is a sweet out-going girl and Tillie is a bit more shy and will settle in more easily with her sister beside her.
With their medical conditions, there is a low chance for these two sweeties to be adopted directly out of the shelter. Rescue is needed to save Cole, Tessa and her babies!
A conservative estimate for Cole’s diagnosis and uncomplicated removal of the growth is $500.
For Tessa’s prenatal care for an uncomplicated pregnancy, we estimate about $150 for vetting costs.
Castaway Pet Rescue has foster families available waiting for them!
